Designed into a hillside, the new 6,000 square foot stadium building with bleacher seating overlooks the playing field, which accommodates football, lacrosse, soccer and field hockey teams.
Athletic Stadium
The athletic complex frames the college buildings behind it, and through an open design, facilitates connections and views to both the athletic fields and the campus.
Hospitality Suite
A 7,500 square foot, third-story hospitality suite hosts year-round campus events. The space features glass walls overlooking the field and campus, with a wet bar, warming kitchen, public toilet rooms and storage. An elevator and handicapped pedestrian bridge links the hospitality suite to the college campus.
Project Scope
A new 6,000 square foot stadium building with bleacher seating overlooks the College’s playing field. New synthetic turf and drainage systems addressed the original playing field’s poor soil conditions. The athletic complex frames the college buildings behind it, and through an open design, allows views to both the athletic fields and the campus. Locker rooms are located on the lower level, with concession stands and public restrooms at the deck level. A raised press box features an angular glass wall overlooking the field for radio and television personnel and coaches. A later addition allowed for a third-story hospitality suite to host year-round campus events.
