Ballston Spa Central School District is partnering with CSArch on a $23.9 million capital improvement project that will provide updated, safe, and productive learning environments for students and teachers.
Elementary Classroom Upgrades
Renovations to the Grove Street section at Malta Avenue Elementary School will update classrooms on all three floors with new finishes, flooring, ceilings, lighting, and casework. HVAC system replacements will enhance health and safety throughout all educational spaces.
Technology Improvements
A complete renovation of the technology classrooms at Ballston Spa Middle School provided new finishes, lighting, casework, flooring and ceilings, and furniture to bolster the district's technology program. A new dust collector system will improve air quality and provide a safer hands-on learning environment.
Project Scope
The $23.9 million capital improvement project will enhance health and safety and provide much-needed classroom upgrades, improving the overall learning experience for all students.
At Malta Avenue Elementary School, the project will also renovate the existing gymnasium, including the removal of a divider wall and internal stair, replacement of all finishes and equipment, and entry vestibule renovations. The 1928 auditorium will receive upgrades while maintaining the historic significance of the existing space.
The middle school art classrooms, bathrooms, and locker rooms will receive renovations, as well as HVAC improvements throughout the building.
