Overview
CSArch, an A/E firm with offices in Albany and Newburgh, NY is currently seeking a full-time Interior Designer for the Albany office. Ideal candidate should have an Interior Design or related degree, not yet certified with at least 1-5 years of work experience. Experience with Revit and Enscape preferred. The Interior Designer is responsible for the development of design solutions, researching and selecting colors/finishes/materials, performing site surveys and maintaining resource materials. Working towards completion of NCIDQ certification is preferred but not required.
Core Duties
- Researches interior products, select colors/finishes/materials and applies established interior design standards.
- Develops design solutions for review and performs checking and/or verification tasks.
- Supports business development activities through assistance with aids such as finish boards or PowerPoint presentations.
- Assists Architectural staff with client contact and interactions to properly program and select interiors products. Occasionally makes presentations to clients for approval of designs.
- Assists in furniture inventory, specifying and coordination of installations.
- Performs site surveys and documentation to establish existing equipment schedules.
- Maintains interior design library and serves as a point of contact for interior product vendors.
- Has working knowledge of Revit, 3-D software to produce interior finish drawings to be included in bid documents.
- Has exposure to and assists with preparation of interior design specifications, calculations and industry standards.
Qualifications

Licensure Requirements: None (expectation of pursuing professional certification preferred)

Experience: Minimum 1-3 years Interior Design experience.

Computer Skills: Revit- minimum of 1-3 years experience and other design/presentation software programs.

Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills

Detail oriented, highly organized, self-motivated, accurate, work well under pressure, ability to follow directions and ask questions.

40+ hours M-F; overtime as necessary to meet deadlines, travel, driving, occasional lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs. Site observations may involve outdoor weather, year-round, moving mechanical equipment, climbing ladders/scaffolding and observing high area construction activities. Noise level is often loud. Background check may be required. Requires use of hardhat, construction boots, and possibly other safety equipment as required on a construction site.

Equivalent of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design
